Appointments

PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC THE PRACTICE HAS REMAINED OPEN TO PATIENTS AND CONTINUES TO DO SO

PATIENTS WILL BE GIVEN A CHOICE OF DIFFERENT APPOINTMENTS  FACE TO FACE OR TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS CAN BE MADE. PLEASE TRY AND GIVE THE RECEPTION TEAM/CARE NAVIGATORS AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE SO THEY CAN DIRECT YOUR CALL TO THE RIGHT SERVICE.

THE PRACTICE CONTINUES TO OFFER NURSE AND HCA CLINIC APPOINTMENTS FACE TO FACE AND TELEPHONE IF THE PATIENT PREFERS THIS. PLEASE NOTE SOME REVIEWS CAN NOT BE DONE OVER THE TELEPHONE THESE INCLUDE ANYTHING THAT NEEDS A BLOOD/BP CHECK, WEIGHT, HEIGHT, EXAMNINATIONS

calendarThe Practice has a number of ways of booking appointments to accommodate patients needs:

Appointments can be booked on the day by telephoning the practice telephone lines open from 8.00am

Appointments can be booked in advance by asking at reception, telephone, or Online

Appointments can be booked and cancelled Online through our Websites System online Services

Patients can use E Consult on our website to contact the Practice for Medical and administrative queries. A Blue box is on our home page and patients just click the box to be taken through the E Consult

The telephone lines are open at 08:00am and we ask that patients telephone as early as possible to book on the day appointments.

On the day appointments will be with any of the Clincians available. if you do wish to see a particular GP/Clinician we ask that book in advance by telephone in person at reception or by using the Online Services.

The Practice is taking part in Extended Access and Extended Hours  which means our patients are able to be seen at other locations. These appointments include GP, ANP, Nurse, HCA, Mental Health, Physio and Welfare Benefits help. These appointments are on evenings and weekends and can be booked by telephoning or calling in at our reception. Appointments can be booked on the day by telephoning after 9.00am and can also be booked in advance with Male or Female clinicians.

The Practice Offers PUSH DR APPOINTMENTS where patients can ring the surgery and the receptionist will send you a link to download. The link is for PUSH DR and appointments can be booked 8.00-8.00pm Monday - Friday and on weekends as well. Doctors from PUSH DR have the same access to patient records as the Practice so can deal with all patient requests. Sharing of records must be in place for this service to work. These appointments are video appointments.

The Practice also offers patients extended hours services for Blood tests, Blood pressure checks, Asthma and COPD Reviews and Cervical Smear appointments on evenings and weekends. These can be booked in advance by telephoning the normal number for reception 01274 778400 or by calling in at reception to book.

The Practice offers appointments with Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacy Practitioners, Nurse and Health Care Assistants and Social Prescibers

Pharmacy Refer - New 2022

The Practice is working with local Pharmacies and Bradford Clinical Commissing Board to bring this new service to our area. Patients will ring the Practice for appointments as normal but will then be triage and if the problem is for minor ailments then they will be given an appointment with a local Pharmacist to look at the problem. The Practice will book the appointment for the patient to attend.  The Practice will work from a list of Minor Ailments that the Pharmacist can deal with and prescribe medication for. 

Emergency Appointments

Patients who have an emergency need to telephone the surgery as soon as possible and the doctor will assess the matter. Reception staff may have to take a few details to pass to the Doctor. If the doctor asks a patient to come to the surgery regarding an emergency then the patient needs to be available to come down straight away. However due to Emergencies being seen in between other patient appointments patients may have to sit and wait to be seen. Please note emergency appointments may not always be with the doctor of your choice.

If a patient is ringing from a telephone box then please inform the receptionist who will ring you back

Chaperone Service

If you would like a chaperone present during an examination please let us know when making your appointment. notices are displayed around the Practice asking if you would like a Chaperone.

E Consult

The Practice has gone live with E Consult 03.02.2020

Patients can now go to our website and fill a form in to submit to the practice, this form will be sent to the GP and actioned accordingly. E Consults can be made for medical reasons or administration requests. This is a easy way to communicate with the Practice and your E consult will be directed to the right person to deal with. If it's a medical problem the practice will get back to you within 48 hours and if it is a administration request this can take up to 72 hours

Specialist and Hospital Care

If a GP or another member of our healthcare team believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, they will advise you at the time of your consultation. The GP will offer a choice of consultant and hospital. A referral will then be made to the hospital as soon as is deemed necessary.

All appointments and consultations in specialist care will be copied in writing to the practice and your progress will be monitored and recorded in your notes.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Failure to cancel an appointment on three occasions may result in a dismissal from the practice list.
