Pharmacy Refer - New 2022/23
The Practice is working with local Pharmacies and Bradford Clinical Commissing Board to bring this new service to our area. Patients will ring the Practice for appointments as normal but will then be triage and if the problem is for minor ailments then they will be given an appointment with a local Pharmacist to look at the problem. The Practice will book the appointment for the patient to attend. The Practice will work from a list of Minor Ailments that the Pharmacist can deal with and prescribe medication for.
Patients who have an emergency need to telephone the surgery as soon as possible and the doctor will assess the matter. Reception staff may have to take a few details to pass to the Doctor. If the doctor asks a patient to come to the surgery regarding an emergency then the patient needs to be available to come down straight away. However due to Emergencies being seen in between other patient appointments patients may have to sit and wait to be seen. Please note emergency appointments may not always be with the doctor of your choice.
If a patient is ringing from a telephone box then please inform the receptionist who will ring you back
If you would like a chaperone present during an examination please let us know when making your appointment. notices are displayed around the Practice asking if you would like a Chaperone.
The Practice offers E CONSULT which means Patients can now go to our website and fill a form in to submit to the practice, this form will be sent to the GP and actioned accordingly. E Consults can be made for medical reasons or administration requests. This is an easy way to communicate with the Practice and your E consult will be directed to the right person to deal with. If it's a medical problem the practice will get back to you within 48 hours and if it is a administration request this can take up to 72 hours
